Two weeks ago, I asked if people might like us to add a Comments feature to the KM Blogwatch. The lack of enthusiasm was palpable, and I have to say I am sympathetic. Blogs are a social medium, but their popularity results from the voice of the blogger, not those who post comments.
I am almost always dismayed when I read comments on blog posts, much in the same way that I cannot bear to hear the people who call in with remarks on talk radio. They typically represent the lowest common denominator of thought - inarticulate, ignorant, laced with vitriol. Here's an example.
So all I guess all I have to say is ... "No Comment."
